2012 L6 no start and backfiring
2012 l6 kawasaki. Spins over but will not start. If you push the pedal further to the point the throttle plate starts to open, it will backfire. Verified good gas flown to carb. Any thoughts?

Pull the plug and check for compression. Might have a stuck valve.

Should be around 150psi.

Update, sounds like the backfire is from the exhaust vs back thru the carb
