Motor Upgrade
We have a 48v 99 DS. 6in lift, bigger tires and a rear seat. We have a 400amp Alltrax controller with all the appropriate upgrades. I just want to make sure the D&D motor 170-001-0002 is a good replacement.
Thanks everyone. |

Re: Motor Upgrade
I've had this motor in my shop industrial cart for 10 yrs or more. It's not very fast but it is a durable workhorse.

Re: Motor Upgrade
Thanks Scotty. What do you consider "not very fast"?. We have a 170-002-0002 D&D motor in there now. I'd say it hits at least 15mph. Would there be any significant difference? I spoke to D&D today and they said for our cart set up, the 170-001-0002 would be the best option. FYI, we bought the our C42 package through you if that helps you at all.

Re: Motor Upgrade
I replaced our motor today. The "chattering" noise is gone. It was definitely because of worn splines on the motor. Cart seems to have a little more get up and go due to the torque but seems to be just has fast as our older D&D motor.
