Default 2008 Yamaha 48v runs for a second then stops

I have a 2008 Yamaha 48v 4-12v batteries.
They are full charged 52-53v
I placed a meter on the pack and hit the gas and the wheels will spin like sputtering, then stop. I have the cart on a lift. I spin the tire with gas pressed and wheels spin again then stops.
I have the meter on and it’s only dropping a couple volts.
Solenoid is clicking.

Any suggestions?

Time for motor brushes / new motor. If you have the stock Hitachi motor I'm almost certain that will be your problem. You can disassemble the motor and see if it's savable. When it starts doing what yours is doing, the commutator is usually a mess because the brushes have been losing contact while running.

Thank you. Will start taking the motor off and check it out.

I have a 2009 and a 2012 G29. I bought the 2009 with a "dead motor" for cheap three years ago. I was able to fix the motor by filing the commutator and installing new brushes but it was a mess. I ran it for a while but eventually replaced the motor when I installed a Lithium pack and Alltrax controller.
