Default How to connect programmer to Curtis 1234SE? EZGO 2019 72v L6 express

This likely sounds stupid but I purchased a Curtis OEM dealer programmer and yet I never checked to see where the darn thing connects. I read the Curtis programmer instructions on their page before ordering but was just expecting to easily find a 4 pin connector on it. Nope.

Can you please share tips with an apparent idiot on how to get connected to the controller so I can adjust some of the settings? thanks!

If it is the same as on my sons cushman which I think has the same controller type, the diagnostic port is not on the controller but in the wiring loom somewhere. It took us a while to find it lol.

Look for a rubber cap attached to a frame upright in the battery compartment usually on the passenger side.

Thanks. I found one and mistakenly thought it was also a male. I’ll give it a go

I can’t believe I kept overlooking that obvious port but it looked just like the end of my controller cable - except of course it wasn’t. Anyway thanks again.

I was able to increase the max speed but only up to the top range in mode 5 which is freedom mode. It was already in freedom mode but at 17 so I squeezed out 2.5 more mph to get to 19.5.
I also see that the max mpg toggles the max rpm up or down and when I click that it is currently on 5011 rpm. The max range goes all the way to 8000rpm but when I move that it won’t let me save as it reverts back to 5011. I assume it is because it is linked to the various profiles and in this case profile 5.

Does anyone know how to adjust that or if there is another way to squeeze out a few more mph? I have no doubt the cart is capable of much more but I simply would like to set the governor to something around 24 or 25mph.

Thanks!

I had to raise the rpm limit in the Freedom Mode tab. Then I could raise it in Speed Mode.
