Re: Temperature sensor connection?
Sorry about my ignorance regarding the BMS operation. That's why I am asking the experienced on here.

Re: Temperature sensor connection?
MOS refers to Mosfet which are the devices used to switch power to/from the battery.
CHGMOS allows charge current to flow into the battery, DSGMOS allows current to flow out of the battery. The strange thing about this situation is that BOTH the charge and discharge mosfets were switched off when the fault occurred. If a real condition tripped the BMS, only one of them would switch off and the reason for doing so would be displayed. Certain temperature conditions could cause both to switch off but once again, the BMS would log that fault. In the other thread, when I said the temperature sensor PLUG might be loose, I meant that, the PLUG. A loose, flopping sensor would not cause this problem. Just for completeness, what was the ambient temperature when this occurred? This is really looking like a faulty BMS. Other option is to contact Daly and ask them what condition could cause BOTH charge and discharge to be disabled. Agree with Jason, two parallel threads is confusing. Problem starts at post #80 of the following thread https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/show...=189235&page=8 |

Re: Temperature sensor connection?
Sorry about the duplicate/related thread.
I have emailed the DALY folks with the problem and will wait for them to give me some suggestions. Since I don't know that much about the BMS, I thought maybe someone on here might see something simple that I am missing. It seems that it is usually something simple that is usually missed on these things. I would not even have noticed the MOS switches being off, if not for Pat mentioning it. |
