Default help diagnosing stuttering and jumping

I have a 2008 Club Car Precedent. I replaced the controller with an Alltrax 500 amp controller. I have new lithium batteries and stock motor.

When i take off, the cart stutters and bucks when the throttle is not at full pedal.

Is this a potentiometer issue? I bought the controller used, but it didn't do this at first, but has gotten worse. Also, i suppose i could have damaged the stock motor with that big controller.

Any ideas are appreciated. I don't want to just start replacing parts and hoping i find the issue.

I had a motor that did exactly this. At full pedal it drove great. Hold it anywhere mid pedal and it would stutter and just generally be unhappy. I swapped the speed sensor with a spare one I had laying around and it was perfectly fine.

Not sure if this is a thing on the alltrax but I know I had to program my navitas with the throttle settings.

Is that a DC motor or AC? Worn brushes / brush springs can cause DC motors to jump around like that.
