Default RXV Brake Part Number Pre 2015 & 2016 Up

I am looking at OEM RXV Brake for my brothers 2017 RXV. When I look at manuals they show 2009 to 2015 the part number is #610065 and that is easy to find. Now 2016 to Present shows the part number as #617766 and I am not able to located that part. Most places show 2009 to present so that worries me that they are not OEM.

Can anyone else shed light on this...?

I do see what you mean by the part number changing. I actually found that one on EZGO's web site. Wanted to make sure I don't get a after market one... funny I got that part number out of their service manual..
Just tried a non OEM on mine and about threw my wife through the windshield when it died. If I do that again I'm going to be in the doghouse.

Thanks again kgsc

The # 10015818 seems to be the newest oem part ( redesigned, e-brake sealed Matrix Intl ), fits 2008 - 2023. I've two oem's laying around ( approx 3 years old ) with a barcode no. 610065...

Has anyone recently purchased 10015818? Can you confirm that it has a matrix made in China sticker on it?

I found a new brake for $229 with the correct part number but it says matrix made in China. Just want to confirm that it’s truly the current oem part.

I previously had the Reliance brake and purchased the Matrix. This is a totally different brake assembly. Been running it for a few weeks now with no problems.

Do you know if the plug should still be aligned to the top?

The parts diagram shows it approx 30 degrees off of TDC, but it’s a parts diagram and not a service manual.

Additionally do you know if the same install and torque values shown in the provided in the following thread are still valid for the newest brake?

I can’t seem to find any install/service procedures for the newest brake. The only factory service manual I can find has a much different brake with some sort of spring adjustment handle/bar

A thread from 2018 on the install procedure, FWIW I haven't seen a better one. Bottoms up.

I has a pig tail for connection and it's at the top. I bought all new bolts and did the same install procedure and torque.

Any input on my recent RXV brake thread? Most responses I've gotten so far seem to indicate that RXV motor brake problems are rare/unheard of. LOL

I am about to dump my RXV and get a Yamaha because I'm sick of fighting this brake BS.
