Re: Alltrax Fuse eliminated

It would be important to note they spec a ANN (very fast acting) fuse and not the more common ANL type which I may have actually bought for my spares not realizing this. Even well known quality name brand 500a bussman and Littelfuse fuses can be purchased for under 10-15 bucks shipped. I bought a 2 pack of spares for like $7 shipped for my cart.(which now I have to verify if they are ANN or the ANL type.) They require the proper diode and resister (in certain applications) as well as other fuses like the one for the KSI input do they require these also be purchased from alltrax? I dont wish to argue with you but its coming off that your implying the fuse has to be ordered from a dealer such as yourself for $21-31 plus likely another $10 to 15 for shipping if a replacement is needed down the road.. $45 for a fuse is pretty steep. If this is truly the case alltrax should disclose it on their website. Yet I can order a controller right now from thier website and there's no mention or option to add such a fuse to the cart before checkout. Again if im wrong OK, then show me otherwise. It would be a huge inconvenience that if a person burns out a fuse they have to order from a specific supplier and wait.. I'm not liking this inflation either, everything is or has drastically increased in price lately. as someone who has a business selling products myself I sympathize with you. MY costs have drastically increased and we are even having supply issues with certain components and im sure some of these things are effecting alltrax as well. one of the pieces of equipment I work on at work has a very expensive component which we were just informed would be redesigned due to component supply issues and its going to cost my employer big$$ to retrofit the new design component in its place. unfortunately the supply chain and manufacturing scenario is playing out like experts stated they likely would back in late 2019... its likely going to get worse before it starts to reverse track too. |

Re: Alltrax Fuse eliminated
Don't shoot the messenger. I'm only repeating what I was told.
I am not at all implying that any customers have to buy a fuse from me as I stated any equivalent fuse will do. From any source. Alltrax does not supply the solenoid resistor or diode. They do spec it. |

Re: Alltrax Fuse eliminated
I actually did once on my first build. SR48400 and 20” tires. I went through a ditch and popped it on the way up and the cart quit in the ditch. I was frustrated and removed it. I only use them on customer carts now. |

Re: Alltrax Fuse eliminated
Today is the day the fuses will no longer be included in the controller price. Somebody mentioned they went to the Alltrax website and there was no mention of adding a fuse, they should go back and check today or in next few days?
Anyway my distributor said controllers ordered today will have no fuse included. To me this is like FORD telling me the motor warranty is void without an oil filter and not including it. |

As someone stated in a earlier post Altrax is the only controller supplier to require a fuse. |

Re: Alltrax Fuse eliminated
Again they require a diode and sometimes resistor bmdepending on the application and those aren't included either so as long as they let you source your own I don't see the issue.

More costs, no problem. Yet you are buying knockoff Curtis controls on ebay and telling everybody else to do the same. |
