As I said, click on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner and see what that gets you.
Thanks for clarifying the difference between Xiaoxiang and JBD. It's hard to keep these things straight from afar.

I'm using iPhone. I suspect if anything I have a very old app. I would have downloaded it ~2/20 and I'm pretty sure it hasn't updated since then.

My Xiaoxiang app seems to be very basic--I can only access the 3 screens I captured in my earlier post. That said I may still be able to use it to set limits, etc. I didn't try that this morning. I seem to recall setting them back when I installed the battery and AC drive.

It does seem like you have the Xiaoxiang BMS app but it may be old. Try updating it. Here's mine below. Don't look at any of the values, they're not real. I was just connected to the built in demo BMS as I'm too far away from my unit for it to connect. You can see on the second image the BMS configuration parameters. You have to do a "BMS Read" for the app to retrieve them from the BMS.

The Xiaoxiang app will connect to ANT BMS's, so you may have an ANT BMS in your battery.

I just bought this app. It is significantly better than the others I downloaded. It appears that my BMS is working fine at the moment. Hopefully with this app I can diagnose if it misbehaves.

What, if any, entries should I make to safeguard the BMS?

Thanks!

Go to CONFIG, BMS SETTINGS, and do a BMS READ, and post the response so we can see the protection parameters.

Looks like over current for discharge and charge is 130A for 32 seconds with a 10 second delay. Does that sound right?

From the history I've had 6 discharge overcurrents, which sounds about right.
What's the easiest way to reset them or better yet eliminate them. In the past I've just toggled the run/start switch, but that may have just been occupying the time before it reset. What could the 3 unknown errors be?

Other thoughts?

Your over current is set to 130A with a 10 second delay, which means that you can exceed 130A for a maximum of 10 seconds. It should automatically reset after 32 seconds. You could lower that time to 15 seconds if you like.

I don’t know what the unknown errors are but they could be errors that were triggered during manufacturing while connections were being made.

I don’t like the charge over voltage of 3750mv or the charge under temperature of -5c. 3650mv and 0c are more appropriate.

If you make changes you’ll have to do a BMS WRITE to write it back to the BMS. Also do a SAVE CONFIGURATION and call it original or similar so you can go back to factory if needed.

I downloaded that app. It did find my ANT BMS, but would not connect.

Is there something I should do to make the app connect to the BMS?
