Default Liberty 4 seater - controller programming for added speed possible?

Have a friend who just took delivery of a new Liberty. I'm not up on what is possible with this controller, or if there are other ways to speed them up some.

I was under the impression that someone like Bob Boyce could reprogram the Elite lithium RXV controllers but not sure that is what is in the Liberty?

His cart already has 23" tires from the factory so controller programming is probably the only way to go.

Not sure what his battery capacity is as I haven't seen it yet (1.0 or 2.0 or whatever the ezgo nomenclature is) if that matters somehow.

Thanks for any help speeding this puppy up a little!

Anyone have any luck reprogramming a Liberty?

I’d like more speed for my liberty also.
Anyone?

I've just done my 2023 Liberty ELiTE. Rented a Curtis 1313 handheld OEM level programmer. Was able to bump the speed up to the max OEM available - 25 MPH. Bumped up reverse 1 MPH to max available, 7 MPH, and set Accel down from 3 to 1. It now accelerates faster, goes a smidge faster in reverse, and I'm no longer stuck at 19.5 MPH and can zoom along at 25.

I'm sure there are many settings I could have tweaked; but I'm not Bob and I adjusted as much as my comfort level would allow. Very happy now.

There's an interesting post about speeding it up here. https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=189832

Haven't tried it yet, but planning to this weekend on an S4 LSV conversation. Going to take CPF backup first to have a restoration point if all goes wrong!

Definitely backup the existing file first.

I don't know how what I saw compares with others; I've only done this one. With my 2023 Liberty, although I had an OEM level hand-held programmer, the modes available APPEARED to only go up to Freedom level. I discovered, though, that because I was using an OEM programmer, the range adjustments within Freedom mode went to max available rather than what I should have seen (e.g., max speed in Freedom mode would ordinarily be 19.5, but using an OEM programmer, I could bump it to 25).

I didn't need an unlock code, just the correct level programmer.

Yep the Liberty carts let you move up to 25 mph without messing with other settings, makes it easy for LSV registration. The Express S4 limits it to 19.5, so you end up changing the speed to rpm ratio to get the speed up to 25 mph, but the speedometer doesnt display more than 20...
