Default Windsheild cleaner

Tire of the hit an miss tryouts. What is the best cleaner for a plexiglass windshield without leaving the scratches behind?

Most scratches on windshields are caused by towel not the cleaner.
Try using a clean, microfiber cloth towel. Wipe in one direction, not swirls.
Try a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Do not use any cleaners that contain Ammonia. They will leave a film behind that over time will build up causing a cloudy unremovable condition. A good rubber squeegee can also be used.

this is motorcycle experience only. use only soapy water no harsh chemicals. final wash with warm water then dry with clean soft cloth.

Always aways use clean unused or know debris free cloths for this.

Plexus and a clean microfiber. I use it on lexan car windshields and it works great, no scratches and gets all of the sticky nasty race track gunk off.

5 parts water to 1 part dawn mix in spray bottle. New microfiber towel. I buy em from Sam's.
Spray windshield with water hose. Spray with dawn mix. Spray again with hose. You want all the grit off windshield before you wipe. Any grit and you will get scratches.
Spray windshield again with dawn and wet towel with dawn solution, wipe lightly straight across, left to right or vise versa while running water from top of windshield. Do not use hard pressure or swirling motion. Spray with water hose. Wet a new clean towel and wring. Use this to blot windshield dry to avoid water spots.
This is a piece of plastic, it's much softer than glass. It 's much easier to scratch than glass. you don't want to be rubbing on it. It needs a light touch to avoid scratches.

Be careful with microfiber towels. They clean by trapping dirt in their fibers, but they do not let go of that dirt easily. If dropped in dirt or sand, they are almost impossible to thoroughly clean.

Same here. Plexus. It's expensive but works great. It was originally design to be used on military helicopter windshields.

I use it on my helmet shield, my entire golf cart, and my bike.

Cleans, protects, and gets rid of fine scratches.

Good point.
If I drop one in the dirt ,it goes in the trash, it hurts my feelings to do it, but I use them for a specific purpose.
Rub clear coat or plexigass with a gritty cloth and it's done.
I hate scratches. Won't take the chance.
