11 Precedent Project
Picked up my cart a few weeks ago. It started as just something to ride around the neighborhood and family property. Since then I've been steady customizing with no end in sight. Thought I would share a few thoughts and pics along the way. Maybe it'll inspire a few ideas as this forum has done for me.
Purchased 5/17/16 in Bracey, VA. It's a 2011 CC Precedent used on a course in Norton, MA with original batteries and the "premium" blue body. Paid $2k out the door which was fair considering good condition. It looked like this.... |

Re: 11 Precedent Project
As soon as I got it home, I noticed hard water stains from golf course washing. I stripped the decals and tried to find a cleaner that would remove these. I finally thought to try some Mother's headlight restore polish on a powerball attached to a drill. It seemed to work the best and I'm happy with the results.... rear fender pics are before and after.

Re: 11 Precedent Project
A few days later I found myself bargain shopping for a lift and tires. Thanks to Ebay and a few coupons, I picked up a 6" jake's double a-arm and set of 12" wheels with 23" AT tires. Pics to follow soon....
Lessons learned: Have a spare set of hands ( thx to the bro-in-law) Secure the rear axle, the motor is heavier than expected. A Precedent motor will continue to work after bouncing on a concrete floor! |

Re: 11 Precedent Project
After lift/tires.... also added Jake's winch mount, tinted windshield and heavy duty rear springs. Was required to "flip brakes" and modify the factory u-bolt plate that holds brake line on rear axle. I ended up putting the jake's plate under the axle and factory plate on top of leaf springs. U-bolt was then ran from bottom to top to hold everything together. Brake flip idea came from this forum with a few slight modifications. Seems to work well so far.

Re: 11 Precedent Project
Like that front bumper wonder if they make the same without the winch mount?

Re: 11 Precedent Project
Not sure, I didn't see anything that stuck out that far without the winch mount. I wanted something that was further than the front tires to provide some protection. Didn't really need a winch but now that I have the mount may as well mount one up one day
Really impressed with the quality. Heavy duty steel with same finish as lift. I did have to bend the mount tabs slightly to make it fit to frame rails but very sturdy once bolted up. You can check youtube for a video of jake's lifting a cart off the ground with this mount. Going to mount a 9" led light bar on it soon. It will not work with factory light bar. |

Re: 11 Precedent Project
Indeed that might be a good place to install a good LED light bar....
