Ausco Disc Brake Noise
Anyone with the manual units getting any noise from then when starting out cold in the morning, I'm getting a moaning or groaning out of mine when I first start out in the morning or after the cart has set for a few hours.
I thought maybe it was just a break in thing but its been a couple of months and they still make the loud noise |

Re: Ausco Disc Brake Noise
Very common to hear some pad drag at low speed. If you listen carefully your car will do the same thing, especially if driven in rain a few days ago and not moved since. But your car insulates you from this noise (mostly) while your cart does not. Unless you think they are actually slowing the cart, I wouldn't sweat it. Enjoy your brakes. I do...

Re: Ausco Disc Brake Noise
it's just kind of embarrassing the noise it makes, it doesn't do it all the time mainly in the morning and backing up. I've found if I hold slight brake pressure the noise stops.
just live with it I guess. |

Re: Ausco Disc Brake Noise
I have read on here that dry molly lube or white lithium grease on the sliders may help some. Haven't tried it myself.

Re: Ausco Disc Brake Noise
You may also want to try disc brake quite. It is basically a glue that keeps the pads against the calipers so they don't "drag".

Re: Ausco Disc Brake Noise
I thought I'd try some lube and also chamfer the the edges of the pads we used to do that
to quiet squeaky pads when I was still bending wrenches. |
