Default Convert from PDS to Series?

Hi all. I have a 2000 PDS with 25" tires, 7" lift, 4 gauge cables, and stock motor and controller. I just put the 25" tires on a month or so ago, I had 23" tires before that. The cart seems to not have near the run time now as it use to. And if I don't go wide open, it gets hot and goes into protect mode. I have been planning to go to 48v and upgrade the motor and controller, but have been told that I may still have heat issues with the 25" tires. Someone mentioned converting from sepex to series? How would this be done? What options do I have as far as controllers and motors go for either PDS or series? The cart is mainly used in campgrounds and I want a good combination of speed and torque. Right now it runs about 19mph, with no chip installed. I was told to not install any type or speed or torque chip with the tires and lift. I just don't want to dump a ton of money into upgrading the controller and motor and still not be happy with it.

Thanks!

Your tire size will be the main issue. You could upgrade your controller and send in the motor to be reworked at PQ. That should help, talk to Scotty as well about it. If you go to convert it, motor, controller, plus fnr will need to be changed out. The first option would cost less, both include changing the controller, solenoid, diode, fuse. See what others say, the slow crawling around the camp ground is another killer.
