THe V-glide is a pie shaped piece of black plastic mounted to the cart frame under the driver's seat area.

Is there a row of bare wire coils mounted to the rear of the batteries?

There were 2 types of V-glide drive systems. The first used resistor coils and later a solid state speed controller....
