Re: Fully Independent Suspension Build
I bought and sold 6 golf carts to buy this car. Was a factory 2.3L turbo car, but that engine let go and I rebuilt a '95 5.0 engine with 5 spd. It's no race car but she's fun to drive.

Re: Fully Independent Suspension Build
Very nice. Very clean look. I bet she is fun.
Too bad about the little turbo motor, they are so cool, but nothing like the noise and torque of a 5.0. I have an 2014 F150 with the 5.0 Coyote motor in it. It is an awesome engine. I’d kill to have a 1965 or 1969 Fastback with a 5.0 Coyote motor in it. Lotto Dreams. Lol [emoji23] |

Re: Fully Independent Suspension Build
The Coyote engine is very popular for swaps these days. I've never driven one. My 2019 F150 had the 2.7 twin turbo, it was fun, but no V8 for sure. I'm thinking this Mustang needs a Weiand supercharger . If I had unlimited funds I'd probably own Eleanor, or maybe a Bullet clone, those 68's are my favorite.

Re: Fully Independent Suspension Build
I ordered my 2017 F-150 with the 5.0 V8. I don't think it's the "Coyote" version, but I can only assume a different chip would be the difference? In any event, I do like my V8 vs the 6cyl turbo's.

It’s crazy how much power they make with those Ecoboost engines. My best bud has a 2013 F150 with the ecoboost, other than going through plugs on a regular basis he has been very satisfied with it. I went with the 5.0 because I wanted a long term, easier to maintain and repair engine because I plan on keeping it until it dies. |

Ah. Maybe mines not the “coyote” engine then. I assumed they were essentially the same engine just detuned a bit. Kind of like LS engines in Chevy’s. If I had $8000 to burn I’d get that Roush Supercharger which makes 570 hp. That would be FUN! |

Re: Fully Independent Suspension Build
Almost done with the final bracing and welding on the front end.
Just need to build and weld in the roll cage tubes to stiffen the frame all the way. |

Lots of questionable welds equals one good weld. [emoji23]

Re: Fully Independent Suspension Build
A “decent” solution for the mild bump steer I had on try one.
