Re: Precedent Front Bushing Install Issue - Bushings too wide for clevis and kingpin
Quote:
I just noticed the metal sleeve for the outer control arm bushing is about an 1/8th to a 1/4" shorter than the bushing on each side. On the leaf spring mount the sleeve is right about the same length as the installed bushings (ends are flush with the face of each bushings). |

Great point. I only haven't done this because I don't have the tools. I'm thinking I'll grab a grinder and flap disc later and see if I can trim them down enough. I'll be throwing them in the trash otherwise anyway.

Re: Precedent Front Bushing Install Issue - Bushings too wide for clevis and kingpin
If you are buying RedHawk Parts for the front end, the Control Arm Bushings are Part number SPN-0021 or the complete kit (with Sleeves) is SPN-0030.
The spring bushings are The SPN-0021. The SPN-0021 are Grey and the SPN-0030 are Black |

Re: Precedent Front Bushing Install Issue - Bushings too wide for clevis and kingpin
Thanks again to everyone for the assistance. I have the correct bushings incoming from David @ Revolution but did get the aftermarket parts to fit with a decent amount of persuasion. I aligned the front and it's feeling great, but as some noted would likely be the case I then noticed the rears are gone too! That's next, along with some brown diamond pattern front/rear sear covers.
