Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Post a pic of the open side of the motor, will try & help with balance shaft. If carb is working correctly on a fresh motor, power problem points toward a clutch issue.

Last one I worked on it would not go very fast, sluggish, a weight was broke in the stock clutch (primary). If you look closely often they put a crack in the side of the cover where the weight hits it when it breaks, maybe 1"+ out from where the belt runs, in the gold cover. Make sure the spring is not broken in the secondary clutch on trans, the pads on the ramps on back side are ok, and the moving part in fact moves into the ramps and spring and is not locked up from no lube on the shaft inside the spring. You can put it in neutral shifter in the middle and run it and when you rev it some the belt should drop into the secondary like in my video here.
