Conduit, Copper for gas line?
Can you use regular conduit or copper for and intake manifold? I thought I read somewhere that you cannot use either for some chemical reasons. Something to do with the interaction with the gasoline mixture.

Re: Conduit, Copper for gas line?
I can't recall hearing or reading anything that would interact with fuel..especially conduit, I have read using galvanized anything for welding or exhaust is not good, as the galvanizing gives off a gas when heated, and it does..by the way..
Heck, pour some gas on the copper or soak some in gas and see how it does ? |

Old briggs engines used flared copper softline for fuel lines for years. Never have problems, not even with e10 that I've noticed anyway.
You'd be fine with conduit for an intake manifold, just grind off the galv. before welding and have lot's of ventilation. |
