You must have missed my other thread about 2 WOT carts within a couple days of each other. I don't want to talk to the PO.

If you suspect water may be linked to this problem, break out a hair blower and accelerate the evaporation process with a little heat. I too doubt that your problem is in the pot box.

Did you get a chance to read the link that I referred you to in post #4?

3CW if I did that tonight i would have to call one of my ex or current GF's to bring one over. That would add another assortment of problems to the situation.

I do have a heat gun but I'm not in a huge hurry to get this done tonight. I'm getting ready to get away from this computer and crawl under this thing and work on the linkage now. Good idea though.

Got the remains of a cotter key, finishing nail, or whatever somebody had used holding the linkage to the pedal out of the pedal linkage arm. Now to get it all adjusted with the pedal to 5k. Might be tomorrow.

Just for fun I unhooked throttle wires to controller. Sure enough same thing. Runs without them.

Been thinking about this thing all day. And before I go back to work on it tonight a question for you EZ GO guys. Is there anything special, different, specific about the solenoids in these thing? I used a right out of the box 36 volt what I thought was a generic solenoid that I thought would work on this. Should it?

36 volt coil is good. How many amps are the contacts rated for? If it's for a golf cart, it should be fine.

Short term for troubleshooting, I don't see any problem. The worst thing that could happen is it could weld itself closed, but the throttle microswitch, the key switch and the FNR should allow it to be stopped if this were to happen. The other thing that could happen is attached.

Both of the "could happen" above are if it's run way beyond its amperage rating for a long time.

So, one cable from pack pos. to one large post. Other large post to controller. And the 2 small can be on either side correct?

The new solenoid can be seen in post #6. Doesn't look new because it has some PB Blaster on it but just took it out of the box yesterday.
