Default 1985ish 2PG Starter/Generator Issue (Video)

I think I'm having charging issues from my S/G. I have new cables, a new battery, new relay, and new voltage regulator.

https://www.facebook.com/Taquache/vi...1686852361593/

Here's a video of my issue. With the regulator disconnected I don't see any change, ground out the green DF wire and it goes to about 12.5...

Grounding the green wire from the df post should get you around 19 volts.

If you did it the opposite way by grounding the center terminal of the voltage regulator, you would get around 14 volts.

After watching the video, I will agree that the charge circuit isn't working, but you have to ground the green wire to be sure.

I was under the impression that the charging circuit was always open (output 18+ volts) with the green wire disconnected and when the green wire grounds out (voltage regulator being a switch to ground) it then limits the voltage back to 14ish.

Either way I'm with you in that my charging circuit is not working correctly.
