If so, did you possibly wire it to a constant lead instead?

I have put reducers on other carts and wired them directly from the main pack positive and negative with no issues. This is my first time putting a light kit on a Precedent where you tap into the wiring harness.

Well, I finally got the wiring hooked up right, and I feel real dumb. It was unclear from the instructions and from the installation videos where the nine pin connector on the new harness was for. I had the 12 pin connector plugged in properly but I had disconnected the 9 pin connector on the cart and connected it to the new harness which was incorrect. The nine pin connector on the new harness was to be left open for an upgrade to the premium light kit, and the existing nine pin connectors should have been left connected as they were.

As I said before another day and a fresh set of eyes was all that was needed.

Until next time, and there WILL be a next time, thanks for everyone's help and suggestions.

Well done!

Some pictures of the correct connections might help someone else.

I already buttoned everything up, but I'll see what I can do.
