Thats actually an easy cheap repair.. You burned a mosfet not sure it thats the only failed component but it would have opened the circuit so.... if you cant solder id at least sell it on ebay to someone who can. if you google the number on one of the adjacent mosfets you will get the part and cost options. You wont know until you try... Thats how I learned.

Ive repairs electronic lamp ballast and car audio amps with the same failure before. as well as many lamp ballast boards on older flat screen tvs.

If this were an Alltrax the possibility to repair wouldnt even be on the table as they are potted in epoxy to make them irreparable when they fail..

That seals it for me that I won't buy Alltrax. I hate companies that do stuff like that

I have a damaged controller I bought used and "untested" on ebay... didnt know it was unrepairable until I opened it up. Worst part is it cost someone else around $900 when new.

Anyway... Many of the others like these and the curtis controllers can be repaired and its done quite often. (sometimes not done very well according to threads here)

Installed the reman controller and it did the trick, 25mph with ease!
