I assume you already know, but when crimping on new terminals, make sure you are crimping on the wire itself and not the insulation to make sure you have good connections. An easy error to make and sometime difficult to see when diagnosing a fault. You would be surprised how many times i have seen this done by people and then they call me out because something still doesnt work |

Re: Install new Alltrax 48300 and Batteries
Ty! I'm not a good crimper, I have the heat shrink ones. Thank goodness!
I have connected everything to the solenoid. I was just looking at this diode thingy. Scotty said there was a post he did w pictures, I'm going to see if I can find that to try and see where this thing should go. Besides that, I think everything is where it should be. I'll go over it again before I put the batteries in though. The yellow/red and red were already on the tow switch from previous. I need to figure out the switch they installed under the dash, if I remember correctly I think it was taken from where the switch is suppose to be or come to think about it, I think I fed off that switch for the "emergency " shut off.. I'm not sure lol havent made it to the front yet lol |

Re: Install new Alltrax 48300 and Batteries
the diode goes on the small terminals of the solenoid. The end of the diode with the band ( probably silver ) goes to the small solenoid terminal that the red yellow / Red white goes to and the non banded end will go on the small solenoid terminal that the red/black goes to. If the solenoid terminals are marked + and - the red yellow should be on the one marked +. I have a feeling your solenoid may not be marked anyway.
You should have a wiring diagram that came with the new controller and if you look at it the soleonoid clearly shows the diode orientation on the small terminals. Your main switch ( ignition ) at the dash should have a red/white and red/yellow wire attached. the tow run switch should have red Yellow and plain red wires. I cannot recall at the moment how we did the power on and off but i am sure all wires were reinstated where they should be. EDIT You should have this diagram that shows orientation of the diode. https://alltraxinc.com/wp-content/up...2-WIRE-DIA.pdf And i just saw this that shows how to curl the big cable between the solenoid and alltrax https://alltraxinc.com/wp-content/up...er_Install.pdf |

Yes I have that picture, I just wasn't sure what it meant exactly w the numbers 1,2,3,4
. Now to figure out to get them in the cart lol only 85 lbs . I have a fuse coming off the solid red on the tow switch. Should this be a 3amp fuse? I |

To install the fuse (the one w the controller) that needs 2 post? So the only place it can go is on the solenoid?

Re: Install new Alltrax 48300 and Batteries
The large ANN fuse? One end will go to the battery pack +. The other end you need a 3/4” 5/16 bolt with a nut and a washer to attach it to the cable going to the solenoid.

Re: Install new Alltrax 48300 and Batteries
You just need to put it inline between the pack positive and the solenoid.
