Make sure that you are running a 3.3V FTDI cable, and TXD/RXD only are inverted. I'm recovering from surgery and not doing so well. This fungal infection is lethal if I cannot get it resolved.

My God man! Put the phone down and rest!

I forgot to mention I am using a real FTDI cable with 3.3V. And TXD and RXD are inverted.

I even suspected the Tyco connector so I bypassed it and still no dice. My cart is a 2012 and I am pretty sure it is the original controller. The place I bought it from enabled freedom mode so it must have worked at some point.

Be careful if Freedom Mode has been enabled with a passkey. You can corrupt controller memory by making advanced level changes if you don't toggle Freedom Mode off first. The changes made by the passkey need to be undone prior to re-enabling Freedom Mode without the passkey. Once that is done, it'll be safe to make higher level changes without corruption.

Figured out this morning that the run/Tow switch harness can be used here with the fdti cable to keep from having to buy the connector and crimper. Just wire the appropriate pins to the bare harness. 73138G02P Like $10.

Once that was done, it passed all tests using the FTDI tools. Sorry, but out of respect for FTDI I am not going to reveal how this is done. The chinese will ruin them more if they were to find out how I did it. Here are some photos showing the cables and the 1314-4402 softeware with the reprogrammed cable connected to a Curtis controller, showing the Development level menus...

Hi Bob, can you send me some information about flashing ftdi clone. I'm having troubles to manage that.

This higher level information should never be posted in the public because this thread shows up in web searches such as google or yahoo. By making anything higher than OEM public, you are forcing Curtis to change their newer generation controllers again to lock us out! It is in OUR best interest to respect their best interest.
