raised golf cart servicing ?
raised ezgo with robin engine, manual says 48oz. but with raised golf cart that does not fill to full line. So service to full line over service or put in 48oz. ?

Re: raised golf cart servicing ?
I think people tend to put a little extra oil in Club car engines when hey have a lift, but no more than maybe a few ounces extra. The main danger of overfilling is having the crankshaft submerged in oil. It can cause frothing of the oil, and damage the crankshaft as it essentially hammers the oil with every rotation.
Typically the oil pickup is in the lowest part of the engine, so even if the dipstick doesn't show that it's "full" according to the marks, as long as the correct volume of oil is in the crankcase it will not have an issue with running low. |
