Default Precedent tire/wheel size for best ride

I have installed an all-sports 6" lift and am shopping for tire/wheel combos. I love the look of 14" wheels and 23" tires but I'm wondering how much rougher they ride vs 12" wheel or even 10" with the same tire?

The taller the side wall the more cushion you get. 10" wheel with large tire is better than 14 " wheel with same size tire.

Keep in mind that just like on the street the bigger the rim and lower the profile the harder it is on the rest of the car... There is less sidewall to absorb bumps and this is passed on to the suspension to which golf carts don't exactly have very much by way of shock absorbers at all.

Keep in mind that these combos weight more too and will tax your brakes more. The same applies to torque as while the taller combo might get you a little bit more speed they will cost you torque making your cart weaker on take off as well as hill climbing....

I think that the 12" tall rims with the 22" tires make a good combo....

Thanks for the input guys. Would just a better motor with the stock controller gain me some torque back? Or would you have to have a controller to match?

I would go with controller first. Check with scottyb about the new ones he has. They sound like a great upgrade.
