1982 EZ GO Gas golf cart 2 strock engine wont start but turnes maybe a wire or carb Im not a mechanic...last guy that tried it out broke it or moved something..new front tires new caps,new 5" lift,$1300 or best offer .

Good-Deal,Nice and Clean Cart! Start with the basics,make sure it has fuel(it may have a pick-up thats faulty in the tank and the fuel may be too low).Check for spark at the plug.If the plug is dark in color on the tip,replace it.Shoot some starting-fluid in the air-filter.If it fires and quits,you know the ignition-system is ok.If it fires and then stays running,its' a weak fuel-pump,possibly also worn crank-seals.Have you pulled the choke fully when trying to start?Try these things first,then we can go from there.Hope this helps.

Yup done those things nothings working "worn crank-seals' ?

If its' spinning over and won't do anything,check compression.If you don't have a guage,places like Auto-Zone will loan you one,or buy one.If its' under 90psi,then its' rebuild-time.A complete rebuild-kit is around $250,and it provides a new cylinder,piston,rings,wrist-pin,gaskets,and crank-seals.Hope this helps.

I have 95 foward and 100 reverse

If it won't start on starting-fluid.I'd check out the ignition-system.Did you install a new spark-plug?It should run ok at that compression,its' at the bottom of the spec,but it should run.

I think thats going to be the problem wish i knew what you were talking about a couple days ago Now the motors out and im going to do the top end and seals Thanks dud.

finaly got it started after I changed the crank seal My spark plug was no good ether starts right up now so works and runs strong.Thanks everyone for your help.
