Angry EZGO Gas slow acceleration

Hey, so I just swapped the carburetor on my EZGO Workhorse for a new one, It is a 350cc Robin Engine and since the new carb was only 25 bucks on Amazon I just thought it would be better to replace the old one than clean it, all good until I start it up after finished, now it accelerates very slow and it does no go fast like before at full pedal, also it might be my imagination but I think the engine is a little overheating, both belts are fairly new, new fuel filter, fresh oil and filter last week, air filter is not new but fairly clean.
Any thoughts???
Much appreciated.

The only thoughts i have right now is to thoroughly clean the old carb and refit it. those cheap carbs are usually just good for paperweights LOL. Sounds like it is running extremely lean to me. Even if you wanted to use the new cheap carb, it would need stripping down and cleaning plus checking all jets and drillings are clear of machining swarf, so why not just clean the one that came off?

Well in the old days you could find a rebuild kit very cheap, but not today plus why rebuild when you can just swap for a new one, I can understand that this cheap new carb might not be as durable as the original one but it shouldn't give me so much trouble just straight out of the box, I don't know maybe I have to play with some adjustments an see what happens before putting the old one back on.

Cool Re: EZGO Gas slow acceleration

Happy to report that after a lot of try and error I realized that the main jet on the new carb had a visibly bigger hole than the old one, so I just swapped the jets and voila! Working like new.
