I searched from past posts and found the length answer. I have a Polaris atv driven clutch. Any help on the belt width I need?

Your belt width for the primary clutch should be 1 3/16" correct? That should work with the secondary. Most smaller Polaris machines use a similar sized belt, usually 1.2" at the most, but typically 1.188" (which is 1 3/16"). What Polaris machine is that clutch from?

On the Dayco site the closest I came to my measurement of 49 inches around and using the 1 and 3/16th as suggested width all they have is 51.299 length and 1.406 width. The length would work with the plus 2 inches but the belt is wider. Will it work?

I made an adjustable bracket so far to near is 52 1/2 to 50 1/4 belt adjust. Any one of you real builder guys have good belt dimensions for me? Those measurements include the plus 2 inches.

1.4" is too wide and your clutches won't work properly. If your primary clutch was made for a 1 3/16" belt, that's what you need to use. You can get away with a slightly thinner belt, but not a wider one.

When I line the clutches up, I line up the two inner sheaves with a straight edge. The other way is to line them up with the belt that you'll be using. My engine mount is adjustable forward/back and side to side, so it's real easy to get it right. If your mount isn't adjustable it makes it really tough to get the engine mounted perfectly without the belt.

Is that pipe your exhaust?

My mount is adjustable about two inches. The exhaust worked for the old cart going to have to change things around for this one! I couldnt find a belt on the Dayco sight the right width for the right length!
