I should get those shims for the cam in mine its a huge gap. Pull it this winter and get them in. I don't hear any noise just like Vegas said it wouldn't, but I don't like it. I could put the cover stud kit in too.

I cut the piston .100 in my 420 to fit the long rod. I guess if I were building it I would not want the smaller stroke unless its an advantage at high rpm and you were going high rpm.

IF you are building your engine from new parts be aware the front covers governor's shaft hole must be plugged. I tapped it with 1/4 20 threads and locked this bolt in with loctite red. P.S. Sho I will still end up with a 440 cc engine.

You can go crazy waiting for the Fed X guy and being only one way in -- are you a - at the end of the day delivery? Fed X comes early in the morning for me but UPS usually gets here after dark. Waiting for your results.

He could be here anywhere from 2:30 until 6:00 pm. Usually shows up around 4:00 pm BUT sometimes cancels.

Omega on hold again. NR shipped me a work of art 68 mm crankshaft rather than the ordered 66mm unit. AND of course there is no stock on the 66mm unit. They are going to check what happened but I wonder if they really did have the 66 mm's back in stock. All that fitting and shimming for not being assembled now.

Yes the plastic gear shaft, I left the rod in mine. I used a 3/8 tap in the shaft hole on top.

The wrong crank, howd they do that lol. Always something right.

Well today I found the 64 mm crank is what is needed to make the Bullfrog rod and the VC flat top piston end up with zero deck clearance the VC 460 block. Learned the hard way about stroke and measurements for deck height.

So with today's development there will be Omega 1 and Omega 2. I am going to finish Omega 1's short block with the block I have been fitting with the clearanced cam and balance shafts along with the 64 mm crankshaft, Bullfrog 4.650" extra long connecting rod and VC produced 92 mm flat top piston. So Omega 2 will be my present Gen 3 VC 460 bored out to 92.25 mms for the Probe produced forged 1.100 compression height piston with the ARC 4.410 billet rod and the VC 69 mm crank. I wonder if I will be riding long enough to enjoy all of these one off super part engines. I would then still have enough extra parts less a block to build a Gen 2 VC460. P.S. I see the Bullfrog rod is no longer on sale for $100.

Cut the stock coil mounting bosses off the block . I used one of those vibrating tools with a metal cutting blade. Not a lot of fun but got the job done. Then I mocked up the raceseng adjustable coil bracket and billet flywheel to check for fit. With this I am committed to use the the Raceseng set up or buy a new block
