Default 2k clear spray max

Reading a lot about top coats and it seems as though the 2k clear is top end. Does anyone know if it’s enamel or lacquer based? I am needed a clear coat over Rust-Oleum metallics and am trying to see if this will be compatible before ordering a case.

It says it will cover any base coat, should work well.

2k is acrylic with polyisocynate curing agent, use supplied air respiratior!
Rustoleum needs weeks of warm aging to release all solvent and harden fully, extremely thin coats of Rustoleum , with warm long curing time should be the goal before clear coating. Paint a test panel, test the cleat coat weekly after waiting at least one week for your basecoat to cure. There are many automotive metallics that would be a better choice than Rustoleum for a Basecoat/clearcoat system
