Default PowerWise QE replacement options.

I'm helping a friend maintain 10 2011 RXV's. We are down to three working QE chargers. Have to be honest, these chargers suck. I opened the dead ones and found all the fuses good and could not find any physically damaged components. Searched for hours and could not find any schematics for them either. What is a good but cost effective replacement for them ? We aren't looking for the cheapest China ones. Replacing 7 is going to be painful on the wallet so something mid range would be ideal.

The Summit II is about the best bang for the buck.

Don't know if the 650W or the 1050W version would be best for your application.

Diversified Power International or DPI for short are made in Tennessee. They are a very good charger also.

I'm guessing the 1050W would allow faster charging ?

First, let me say, I am NO expert on these carts or chargers, but from what I have read, it is a relay that goes bad inside the QE chargers. So you would see nothing wrong. You can get a replacement relay and circuit board from Golf Cart King in Austin Texas for about $50. Since you have so many to replace, it might be worth a try? I have a 2015 RXV 48v, and when my QE charger quits, I'm going to try this first before I replace my charger. Hope this helps.

Thank you all for the input. I do really appreciate it.

Both the Summit II and DPI look well made and supported. We are going to try two of each and see how they hold up. We won't need all the carts charging until May. Some of the carts are rented out so they need a full charge to avoid unhappy campers. I am going to try and find a board for the crap QE just to see if I can restore one.

If you do the rebuild of the QE charge, I would be very interested to see and hear how it turns out. THAN YOU!!!!

These boards are not for the QE chargers there for the 36v Powerwise chargers.

I just looked and that isn't what's in the QE. Oh well, time to toss them and get real chargers.

Quick question about the DPI charger. I was sitting down getting ready to purchase two and noticed that the description said it was 14 amp. I could have sworn when I looked it up the other day it said 18 amp. Are there two models that fit the RXV ? If not, is 14 amps enough to agitate the electrolyte during charging ? I just want to make sure I'm ordering the correct one. Thanks
