Another method: If you connect your 48V relay to the #18 Blue (Pin #16 at main connector) wire from the F-R switch, this will activate it when put in reverse. Use a diode on the relay coil. Connect contacts from relay to your duck horn and quack away. Very cool by the way.

I have that relay setup for backup lights on a custom Bentley body on a 2016 Precedent chassis. Works perfect.

Ping just a follow up. Pin #16 or the blue wire on the fnr switch and pack negative are the coil wires for the solenoid?

BTW - the reason the first SSR I tried didn't work is because I was using one with an AC output that only closes the NO contacts when the AC voltage crossed 0volts. It doesn't work with DC output. I didn't know that at the time. I've learned alot about SSR relays since then.

Pin 16 or Blue from FNR switch is hot to relay for backup lights or his duck horn. Pack (-) to other side of relay. Definitely use a diode with the relay. The light blue at solenoid comes from KS thru a sonic weld (solder joint) The blu/wht at solenoid is Pin 12.

Attached is wiring from 2006 Precedent. Those circuits are the same.

Ping I think we are on the same page.. I was looking at this diagram for a 2014 precedent. Just thought getting to fnr switch would be easier than the controller.

Yep, same page I listed both places so as someone to have a choice to make the connection. This was a lithium cart with a clean tub, so my relay was mounted on the tub wall right above the FNR.

Here is a diagram of what I did. The buzzer still works when the key is off. This allows the buzzer to sound when the recharge cord is plugged in or when the cart moves on its own. When the key switch is turned on, the duck sound is used - not only when in reverse, but also if the cart is on a hill and starts to roll.
