Question Delta Q SC-48 Charger Issue

I installed new Die Hard Golf Cart 8 volt, 170 ah Deep-cycle service batteries in my 17' EZ-GO golf cart. I drove it about a mile a day for 7 days and it started to slow down on hills. I charged the batteries overnight and when I tried to start the cart the batteries were dead. When I turned the key the battery indicator on the cart came on and flashed red then went blank. The charger would not charge when I plugged it back in and the LED indicator was blank. I plugged the charger into a different outlet but nothing happened. The charger was supposed to be new and I have used it to charge the old batteries that were five years old.

What is the battery pack voltage on the 2017 cart?

What are the individual 8V battery voltages?

Is the cart a RXV or a TXT-48?

FWIW: The batteries should be charged after each use.

Did you drive the cart for 7 days without charging the new batteries?

48V, 8V, TXT-48, 170Ah, 128V at 56 amps storage capacity.
I drove the cart 7 days before this first charge.

Thanks for advice.

I'm wondering if you ran the batteries down so low that the charger doesn't recognize them. Using a volt meter, check the whole pack and also check the individual batteries.

I've got good results bringing dead batteries up, loading them with a standard car charger and low level setting. With 8v batteries you would best use a 24v charger, loading 3 + 3 batteries together. After some hours you can try again with the Delta Q...

What were the voltages of the batteries? That'll tell us if the batteries are so low that the charger can't see them. Or are you saying the batteries were at 0V?

To OJO: Could you explain in a little more detail how I would hook the batteries up to charge them, i.e., one at a time, in series leave in or out of golf cart? I've had little experience with this and don't want to blow anything up.

Thanks

To bronsonj: There was no reading of any volts so 0 volts in the batteries.

Thanks
