EZ-GO Total Charge 2
Power comes on, display reads 3 flashing zeros and 1 stationary zero wth period beside it left to right, no humming sound from unit.
Any ideas |

Sounds like the numeric display is lighting up, but the charger itself isn't turning on.
Could be: a. Battery pack voltage too low to turn charger on b. Open wire, connection or component in charging loop. c. Control board is bad. I'm not 100% sure of this, but if you press the bottom button on left side, it should show you the voltage being sensed by the control board. If it shows a voltage less than about 30V, you'll have to charger the batteries in pairs with a 12V charger to get the voltage up high enough to turn on the 36V TC-II charger. If it shows no voltage at all, Check the voltage on the two terminals in the cart's charger receptacle. If you have over 30V there, check the voltage going to the control board inside the charger. (The black wire coming from the ammeter and the red wire coming from the heatsink) It you've got over 30V there, the control board is probably bad. Here is a manual for a TC-II, there is a schematic inside. |
