Default G9 frame repair w/swing arm drop

Time to replace the cross member after 16 years of rusting and corroding from poor battery maintenance (before it was mine). The material was getting thin and my first design swing arm drop added some leverage. Check out these cracks.

Old piece out and preping for the new one.

2" sq x 3/16 tube. About 3 times the thickness of the stock tube.

High tech engineering Using 4" sq x 1/4 tube.

Fit up with the swing arm in place and ready to tack.
