Question clone exhaust options

I currently have the 6.5hp and want to upgrade the exhaust to make it quieter. Does anyone have pictures and details of theirs? It's not really too loud but sort of sound like a kids go cart.

How's that 6.5 run in a cart?

Just fine now. Had to figure out the gearing at first. I was amazed at how much torque it has. Sort of like a DOT dumptruck that has a 6 cyl. engine in it. It's all in the gears. I installed a belt driven torque converter and increased the driven gear to 20 teeth with 15 on the drive side.

I would likely look for a larger muffler off a 15hp or something. There were some on the net cheap for vertical engines on walk behinds. You will have to mod the pipe and flange or replace it likely. Those larger mufflers are quieter. If you want real quiet about any stock cart muffler should work great, or a generator muffler.

thanks sho, I wondered if the engines on commercial equipment would be quieter. I'll have to give one a try.

I also found CC or ezgo mufflers cheap someplace on the net a while back, it was longer and round bet that would be quiet. Stock G9 muffler is rather quiet too.
