pre 92 drive clutch verses 92+ clutches
what is the difference in the drive clutches? im trying to rebuild mine but can only find the weight kits for 92+? clutch looks the same...
http://www.cartpartsplus.com/club-ca...eight-kit.html this replacment clutch says it good for 84-96? http://www.cartpartsplus.com/club-ca...clutch-96.html that is the style that is on my cart... were the pre 92 ones orginally different? maybe previous owner already replaced to the newer style? |

mat just a a reminder the engie changed direction in 97. might be why they have a new part number! left weight cand go right and vise versa! ive never had to deel with the guts of a clutch yet, mine came with 2 new clutches, so i cant really help you there. but that my 2 cents!

Re: pre 92 drive clutch verses 92+ clutches
I am runnig a newer clutch on my 86 CC. All i did was take the clutch apart and move the 3 button springs to the oppisite side. I am not smart enough to know this myself, I talked to Tom at Carts Plus first.

Whats the proper way to put the driven clutch back on the shaft? Just slide on and torque down? What is the proper torque also? 91 ds.

Re: pre 92 drive clutch verses 92+ clutches
Install the clutch and torque the clutch retaining bolt to 23 to 28 ft. lb..
DO NOT use an impact gun or you will risk permanently seizing the drive clutch to the crankshaft. |
