Default ezgo steering shaft too short after lift install!

Just got finished installing a factory 4" axle lift along with the mid-rise lift (2" springs all around) to achieve a true 6" lift (2006 TXT). Problem being the stock intermediate steering shaft is too short causing it to separate while trying to connect it to steering rack. Anyone else have these issues before? Wondering if a longer shaft is available to resolve this issue, if not i will try and cut and extend it myself.
Thanks for any help..

Have you found anything? I need the same thing on my Club Car 6" lift and cant find these anywhere! Im surprised no one has had the idea to make them aftermarket (without having to buy a whole lift kit). I think there is a market for them. Trying to make an extension on your own is just asking for binding issues while turning (my current situation). Let me know if you find something

How did you keep it straight when you welded it back? Once you cut the spline off isn't it hard to get back straight again with the extension?
