PDS Freedom?
I just bought a 2003 EZGO Txt Freedom model. It has the horn and fuse block, but no head/taillights. When I took out the cupholders to get to the top of the shocks, there were different wiring harnesses under there. Are these for lights? They look stock and big connectors in what looks like a fishnet wire loom. Reason I am asking is for installing the head/taillight kit. Also curious as to what they are for.
Thanks |

Re: PDS Freedom?
Wasn't able to snap any pics, but there are 4 connectors, 2 male and 2 female, they don't go together. Two are black and two grey if this helps any.

DT
It is the connectors for a light bar, a freedom model should have lights mounted on the front with the brackets. If the brackets and light bar are missing, then just purchase new one plug them in and you should be good to go. Now that is assuming the harness is all ok. Do you have a light switch on this cart? |

Re: PDS Freedom?
No light switch or light bar. I was told all Freedoms had lights, but this one doesn't. I was going to get the headlights that mount in the body though. Wiring harnesses look brand new.

Re: PDS Freedom?
The harness you have though will not hook up to the ones that are cut in though, you can use them but half to cut off the plugs.

Re: PDS Freedom?
I guess I am confused on how they work if I have no switch coming from the wiring harness.

Re: PDS Freedom?
It's hard to say without seeing the cart, if you are going to remove the cowl during your lowing process, you might find some more things, there should be a set or red leads which would go to your light switch. That is if it was originally mounted there. That's the fun part about used carts, you half to unravel there history sometime to make things right again.

Re: PDS Freedom?
the lights are turned on by the ign switch. turning it to the far right turns th elights on. sounds to me someone may have removed the lights and left the harness since they are a pain to run and tie up.
