Default Fuse block

Bought an 05 EZ GO gas and plan to add a radio and other electrical items. I noticed my headlight wires run directly from the battery with an inline fuse, then to the switch. Has anybody mounted a fuse block and run pos and neg wires from the battery and tied all electrics to the block? I've owned boats all my life and always used the fuse block. Where is the best place to mount the block? Separate deep cycle battery for accessories? Thanks in advance for the help.

The best system is a good voltage reducer and fuse blocks in the battery compartment were access is easy

Thanks Scott. I don't think I'll need a voltage reducer as this is a 12 volt gas cart. Is the standard charging system on the cart strong enough to keep the battery charged when running the radio and lights while running the cart?

This past weekend I installed a 12 circuit marine fuse block with negative bus under my front cup holder compartment, its the perfect place to keep it nice and dry. I will be posting pics this weekend in my build thread so keep an eye out

I hooked a fog light relay to the key and it supplies the fuse block only when the key is on.

The cart should already have a fuse block just for accessories.
