Battery keeps going flat
Hi, I have a 2 cylinder workhorse, 01 I think. The battery is going flat when we drive it for a day, 7 months ago I did test the system to find that the voltage regulator was broke, and was replaced, I cant remember how to test the system to see whats wrong, i replaceced the 4 brushes in the generator.
any help would be great. Christian. |

Re: Battery keeps going flat
Did you fix the start/gen the same time you replaced the v/r?
It's obviously not charging. to test for bad v/r you disconnect the green wire from the start/gen, ground it to the frame, then test volts while running. if the voltage at the battery reads around 16v or higher, the v/r is bad. |
