Lift Identification
Hey guys looks like I'm a newbie here so first off my names Scott and I have a 96 ez-go gas cart with a recently rebuilt and bored over robin. I've added a few things like a brush guard, lights, and led's. I am posting to hopefully get some light shed on the lift that came on it when I bought it.
I'm thinking of adding some wheels and tires but first I want to know what brand/size lift is on it. It clears 22x11s just fine with minor rubbing. I'm also thinking about upgrading some of the old hardware soon like the shocks or coilovers. Attached are some pictures. |

Re: Lift Identification
It was at hogwaller mudbog in Palatka.
Oh okay I don't know much about the different models of ezgo's. Just that it clears the 22s pretty well. Only reason it rubs sometimes is because of the wide wheels. |

Re: Lift Identification
Looks like a stock front axle that someone moved the springs to the top of (originally on the bottom)
the rear looks like a normal lift by also moving the the springs to the top. I'm surprised the left front wheel clears the brake peddle with the 22s. You might want to consider a dropped axle in front rather than coilovers. |

Re: Lift Identification
It catches at full turn but other than that its fine.
What I'm wanting to do is get a 14 tall wheel and some 22-23 a/t or m/t tires. Do I have enough lift for that? If not how could I lift it more? is there even a bolt on lift since some of this may be custom fab? thanks. |

Re: Lift Identification
I'd say you don't have enough lift for that wheel/tire combo.
This is what a bolt on 6" dropped axle kit looks like, that fits your cart, Jake's and All Sports are probably the largest manufactures.. see our site sponsors for a deal.. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/site-sponsors.php also notice in the lowest part of the picture, them are spindle risers which you need to keep the tie rods from rubbing the springs, when you have a couple heavy weights on it or bouncing down the road. |
