Default Speed sensor issue?

Hey all, having some issues with my 2006 ds. I had another thread with this issue but haven’t solved my problem. I was thinking I had a bad fnr switch or controller could be going bad. My problem is the cart will brake really hard with the motor when I let off the pedal. Not all the time but enough to be annoying. Also, while wide open, it will stutter from time to time, about 15 seconds apart. After reading some more threads on here, I believe I can rule out the controller, most people say that are either good or they aren’t. No in between. So earlier, I had to move my cart but didn’t need to drive it so I unlocked the brake and rolled it a few feet. It didn’t beep like I thought it should. I do have a speed magnet, will that cancel the beeping out? I did buy a sensor a few months ago but it was off of Amazon. I know, I know…bad idea. Could it be the magnet messing up the sensor or could the sensor be going bad. I’m leaning toward the sensor being bad and getting one from revolution. Any thoughts or troubleshooting ideas appreciated.

Magnets don't usually go bad unless they break. I would suspect the speed sensor.

Just got off the phone with Dave from revolution golf and he was positive it with the cheap knock off sensor I bought on Amazon. New one will be here by the weekend. Appreciate the help Dave. He answered many questions I had about future items I would like to purchase and the right direction to go in. Support the site sponsors guys.
