Re: Oil Leak Identification
What about the bearings, should I go ahead and replace that too?

Re: Oil Leak Identification
Was the case gasket torn ? Another thing that can cause oil to leak is the dip stick. Over the years the rubber gets hard and won't seal well. If the bearing is not noisey of "rough" when you turn it. it should be ok.

While removing the crankcase cover, has anyone ever had the timing gear fall out on them? |

Re: Oil Leak Identification
Found out what Don was talking about. The gears were stuck on the case in their dowel holes. Both gears shafts came out and the valves dropped down.

Gasket was blown out and broke at the fill tube. https://photos.app.goo.gl/QCkB6iqP3mfV9R13A |

Re: Oil Leak Identification
Tried to start with no luck. I popped the valve cover and found both valve stems not seated. Will have to set the valves and try again.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/BoWyBjF6b25c3KrG9 Once the valves stems were aligned and valves were seated the cart started fine. |
