Battery Consumption with upgraded controller?
I have a new Icon golf cart, 4kwh AC motor, 48v, and 350a controller.
I'm planning to upgrade to a 600a Navitas controller for better torque/hill climbing. My top speed is already 22-25MPH, don't care about going any faster, just need more torque. So the question is, does anyone know a relative ballpark of increase in battery consumption from using a 600A controller instead of the stock 350 if I only set for more torque and keep speed about the same (or maybe even drop speed 3ish MPH to help not use as much battery). Went from gas to electric cart so always have battery life concerns, but also have some big hills to get up so could use some extra power. |
