Default 09 Yamaha Ydre

I put a Navitas Controller on my cart last year I think around August and put in a new D&D motor in last week, other than that unless the previous owner replaced anything the cart is all stock. Well anyway my issue is that my battery life seems a little low but I checked that water level in the batteries and I think I need to top them off they seem low but I hoped on the navitas app and it said i had some diagnostic codes. I tried looking them up but I can’t find anything.

What year are the batteries? What brand?

We bought the cart from a battery masters store and it’s got so I’ve been told shitty batteries in it that work well enough. One of the batteries is from 2019 and the other 3 are 2018. Also after a full charge the water level seems to be good

Always check levels after a full charge. They rise during charge so if you fill before charging, you will overfill and stuff will come out and make a mess.

Yep I made sure to wait to check until I let them charge up all the way the level seems to be right maybe a smidge low but not very. The cart seems to work great aside from what seems like the batteries don’t last for very long

Batteries from different years is not a good sign. If one battery in a pack is failing, it's highly recommended to change all batteries. Check the individual voltage...

It is not unusual to have different date codes on a set of batteries bought at the same time. Usually they are only a few months apart though.

Yes, yes - If they were all new, that shouldn't be a problem ( like tyres sometimes )

All of those codes have since disappeared since a full all night charge but now after like 2 miles the cart seems like it’s dead right after a full charge and the app tells me this. I’m not really sure what it could be. I bought the controller and motor from golf cart king and they said they recommended the combo of what I have. So I’m guessing it’s probably the cheaper batteries it came with

Ok, even cheaper batteries should work for more than 2mi... but when the app is saying "low voltage", it points direct to the batteries. So best thing you can do is a real battery check with a DVM (digital volt meter). First charge your batts. until charger shuts off... let the batts. rest 10 hours. With the DVM messure the pack voltage and the voltage of any single battery! Display the result here. You didn't answer the battery brand question also?
