Many times (depending how bad crank seals are) if it’s bad enough to not start, you won’t have any pulse in that line.

This pulse is created by the up/down motion of the piston creating negative and positive pressure within the crankcase. On a 2 stroke engine, this is the same pressure that also draws the air/fuel mixture in from the carb. When the crank seals are blown out, it creates a massive air leak and all the crankcase pressure/vacuum leaks through those seals, as they’re the path of least resistance. This not only kills fuel, but sucks in a ton of unmetered air, making the engine run incredibly lean until it doesn’t get enough fuel in to run at all.
I did check that real quick.
It does have pressure and vaccum.
I will check that again.

Thanks

Thanks slonomo and CP241 For both of your help.

I got it going

It is not 100 percent yet,

It needs the carb cleaned or replaced.

Here is the dip tube.

Replaced the fuel line possible the original.
And removed the electric pump

Here is the Kolher pump I used.
It was the only kind they had in stock

Here is the part number.

Your 100 times better off taking your oem carb apart completely, clean it really well with carb cleaner and compressed air than one of those fake chinaman carbs.

Here is a picture of the Idle screw

They buried the screw in the carb
1 Turn out it will only run WIDE Open

Playing with this screw will make it act different.

But it still spits and sputters at any thing about Wide Open.

It is running best at 1/4 turn out.

Get the year of the cart. If it is an 82, then compression is good. If its anything other than an 82, then 80psi compression is no good. In 1982 they went to a low comression engine for some reason, then went back. You want 110 to 120psi in any other year.

If it’s already got a China carb you may be stuck. Hope you’re patient… about the only option I could offer is buy one from Amazon. Then keep exchanging it as defective until you get one that works. Amazon will return anything… you could try and call plowmans and see if he has anything he recommends or if he stocks a carb for it. I know he still rebuilds motors for those, But with a cart that old it’s a long shot…
