3 lapping tries until we held water and compressed air bubbles didn't come through

Some more progress today. Got the valves sealed well and lash set per specs. Plastics on for the most part. I am at a stopping waiting on more parts. Hope to get some hardware tomorrow but the primary needs new rollers along with a new slinner sheave for the secondary.

Got the new billet rollers ordered. Commenced dis-assembly and inspection of primary.

1 current roller is worn a little over 1/16 - inch down. It also looks like I am missing a small nylon bumper. Not sure if this is obtainable?

Also what type of grease should I use on the ramp pivots when I take them apart and re-assemble?

Got the primary rollers replaced and greased. Also got the crappy eBay carb cleaned and back on. Mix screw set to 2 revolutions out from bottom.

Gonna guess dirt ingestion was the demise of this engine previously. The intake was just horrid.

Al,

Its still, but currently at a standstill. The engine is awaiting to be re-installed in the G16, but the weather has not been cooperative! We're talking highs in the 20's and lows below zero! We had 1 day of almost 50 degrees but is was a work day....

Ended up picking up another project (05 GMC Yukon XL) for a family trip to TN that will be taking up my time this weekend. Hopefully over the next few weeks weather will at least get above 32 and I will be back out in the shed!
